Customer Balance and Credit

The customer balance in YUZER is modeled through two counters.

  • The balance
  • The credit

The balance is positive, you owe this client money. The balance is negative, this client owes you money. The balance shows the current amount (excluding credit) that the customer owes you (negative amount) or that the customer has advanced (positive amount).

A balance with a positive amount cannot be used to pay for a sale. In fact, this type of customer advance corresponds to deposits or prepayments in the context of one of your sales. You can find them from the customer profile by filtering the baskets or from the balance events.
The counter-credit is an amount that can be used to pay for a sale. It can be generated in the context of a product return, for example, or an advance credited if a sale is cancelled.
